Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis/Megadrive)

Sonic the Hedgehog is a 16-bit platformer released for the Sega Genesis. It was the first game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and also the first game developed by Sonic Team. It was released in 1991 in North America, Europe and Japan. It is one of the best selling video games of all time, and thus a giant money maker for Sega, creating a popular evergreen franchise and also propelled the Genesis to widespread popularity.

Fantasy World Dizzy (ZX Spectrum)

Like all the core Dizzy games, the character is able to move and jump through a world full of dangers and puzzles to solve. The underlying concept of Fantasy World Dizzy is that all of Dizzy’s friends (the Yolkfolk) have been magically ensorcelled with various fairy-tale curses and Dizzy must rescue them all.

DuckTales: Remastered (PS3)

DuckTales: Remastered is a remake of Capcom’s NES classic. The game was announced during Capcom’s PAX East 2013 panel. DuckTales: Remastered features the surviving original voice cast, including Scrooge’s original voice actor Alan Young. The graphics are a 2.5D blend of three-dimensional backgrounds and 2D sprites. The classic 8-bit music has been remastered by Jake ‘Virt’ Kaufman to create more modern sounding takes of the classic tunes.
