DuckTales: Remastered is a remake of Capcom’s NES classic. The game was announced during Capcom’s PAX East 2013 panel. DuckTales: Remastered features the surviving original voice cast, including Scrooge’s original voice actor Alan Young. The graphics are a 2.5D blend of three-dimensional backgrounds and 2D sprites. The classic 8-bit music has been remastered by Jake ‘Virt’ Kaufman to create more modern sounding takes of the classic tunes.
DuckTales: Remastered features the game’s original stages, with some portions having been redesigned. Also included in this new version are new areas such as a tutorial section, Scrooge’s Money Bin (allowing players to actually swim in the money they collect!) and a museum. Bosses now have more tricks up their sleeve and even Scrooge’s iconic pogo-jump can now be executed via a single button press (with the option to turn on “hard pogo jump”).
